Charles Hatcher

Pastor Charles Hatcher has devoted his life to serving the Lord through the ministry of the local church. Called to preach as a young man and ordained in 2008, he has spent nearly two decades faithfully preaching God’s Word, shepherding believers, and equipping others for Christian service.
Prior to coming to Emmanuel Baptist Church, Pastor Hatcher served as Dean of Crown Seminary and Bible Professor at Crown College in Powell, Tennessee. In that role, he trained and mentored future pastors and ministry leaders while remaining actively involved in the work of the local church. His ministry has consistently reflected a desire to strengthen churches, develop leaders, and help believers grow in their walk with Christ.
Pastor Hatcher previously served as Senior Pastor of Neuse Baptist Church in Wake Forest, North Carolina, and Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Clayton, North Carolina. He has also served in associate and assistant pastoral roles, providing leadership in music ministry, discipleship, outreach, administration, and church growth initiatives.
He holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Columbia International University, along with multiple graduate degrees in theology and ministry. While he values theological education, his greatest passion is the faithful proclamation of Scripture and the practical application of biblical truth in everyday life.
Pastor Hatcher is known for clear biblical preaching, a shepherd’s heart, and a commitment to leading with humility, wisdom, and conviction. His desire is to help people know Christ, grow in their faith, strengthen their families, and serve the Lord through the local church.
He and his wife, Brittany, were married in 2007 and are blessed with three children: Abigail, James, and Timothy. Together, they are committed to serving the Lord and investing in the lives of others. Brittany has faithfully served alongside her husband throughout their years of ministry and has been an encouragement to countless individuals and families.
At Emmanuel Baptist Church, Pastor Hatcher’s desire is to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ, preach the Word of God faithfully, and encourage believers to live for God’s glory.
